Special CD: The Nielsen Project, New York Philharmonic

The Nielsen Project is a collaboration between Denmark’s Dacapo Records and the New York Philharmonic under Music Director Alan Gilbert. The NY Philharmonic will, over the next four years, record all of Nielsen’s symphonies and three solo concertos.

 

For the press release in New York, attended by the Queen of Denmark, I was commissioned to make a a custom CD box for the special recording of Symphony no. 2 The Four Temperaments. With the help of architect Nicolas Tai Harrison, the design was laser-etched onto a wooden box and presented as a unique gift to the Queen.
